Term 4 Procedures

Dear Parents and Students,

We are now just days away until some programs return for Term 4. We are very excited to see you all back on the mats and training. We understand that some families and students may still be feeling a little nervous about a return to class. We understand your caution and want to assure you that we are doing everything we can to provide a safe learning environment for the JAI Community. In accordance with guidelines form Pacific Square, Health and Safety Officials, and the NSW Government, we have set our Term 4 Procedures. Please read below:

VACCINATION OF STUDENTS:

• All staff and instructors are fully vaccinated
• All students 16 and over must be fully vaccinated. Proof must be shown upon entrance for their first class so that we can document it. If you don’t have proof of vaccination, we cannot let you enter the premises.

ATTENDING CLASS:

• Students are only permitted to enter the training area 5 minutes prior to their class commencing.
• Students will have their Temperature Checked upon arrival.
• Hand sanitising station will be available for students before entering the Training Space.
• Students aged 12 and over must be wearing a mask when ENTERING and EXITING the premises. Masks can be taken off during the class (strenuous exercise). As per the guidelines, students under 12 are encouraged to wear a mask – but it is not mandatory.
• Where possible, students must be fully dressed in uniform and ready for their class.
• Upon the conclusion of class, students must exit within a reasonable amount of time.

FOR PARENTS:

• We are operating as Drop and Go only.
• NO Parents are permitted in the waiting area.
• Our staff will be waiting at the front door of JAI Martial Arts to greet your child as they arrive. To limit congestion we ask that you let your child walk up their stairs on their own from the main entrance (where possible).
• Parents are not permitted to sit and wait in the common stairway that is used to move through the building.

END OF CLASS – STUDENT PICK UP:

• At the conclusion of our Kicking Dragons and Children Programs, a Staff member will bring the students downstairs and onto the main street exit (Maroubra Rd) where parents must be waiting to collect their child – please be there on time for collection. Please do not wait in the building.
• If your child is walking to meet you at an alternative location, please call the school DURING the class to let our staff know (9311 4767, or 9315 5570).

LAST POINTS:

• Where possible, students will be spaced safely using our floor markers.
• All equipment will be cleaned between classes.
• No shared hand held equipment for students.
• All classes must be booked for in advance. We will not be accepting Casual Visits unless they have been pre booked and paid for.
• For our Adult Classes, please ensure you are bringing your towel to training.
• We will have signs up on the main entrance area and stairway for our new Procedures.

We understand that these new procedures may take a few lessons to run smoothly, we appreciate your support and cooperation.

As always, the health and safety of the JAI Community is important to us. These Procedures will begin from October 11 and will continue until further notice.
